Ashley Graham was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Two of her sisters were brought up together and was regularly bullied at school due to the large size of her legs. Shortly after completing the elementary school level, Graham was diagnosed with the disorder of attention deficit hyperactivity (A.D.H.D. ), but managed to overcome this and several other personal obstacles during her youth. Graham was discovered by a talent agent while she was only 12 in the Nebraska mall. In 2005, before graduating Lincoln Southwest High School she was featured in a variety of magazines as well as billboards. At the beginning of Graham's modeling profession, her physique caused her to be unable to find modeling jobs. Graham took on a variety of models from catalogs over time. Yet, she was always told that it was impossible for her to move beyond small assignments. It was fortunate that she was able to prove the session casters' wrong and saw rapid growth in her career. In 2007, the magazine interviewed her by Sally Singer of "Vogue" magazine. This gave her one of her first big breakthroughs. The following year, in 2009, Graham was featured on "Glamour's" "These Bodies Are Beautiful In All Sizes". Graham was in the news for the second time in 2009 as she appeared in a scandalous Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was banned across the globe. By the time the commercial was taken off YouTube and was removed from the site, it had seen more than 800,000 views. The issue became unbearable and Graham addressed the issue in The "Tonight Show" hosted by Jay Leno. Graham quickly rose to fame and is today considered one of America's top plus-size models. Grande began acting and singing at a very early age. The actress was offered a tiny part in the Broadway's production of 13 in the year 2008. Then, she began acting in various television programs. The role she played in Victorious, a Nickelodeon show on television in 2010, was her big break. She played Cat Valentine a teenage girl who was attending a performance art school. Sam & Cat was the spin-off from her sitcom which was aired in 2013, after it was put on hold.
